Meet Mr. Lastovich

Mr. Lastovich was born in Hibbing, Minnesota, in 1953. He now resides with his wife, Stephanie, on a farm in the Brainerd Lakes area. Mr. Lastovich graduated Summa Cum Laude with top honors from St. Cloud State University in 1979. He then went on to William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he achieved the number one class rank in 1980. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with many honors from William Mitchell College of Law in 1983. At the time of graduation from law school, Governor Rudy Perpich appointed Mr. Lastovich to the Judicial Merit Advisory Commission. Mr. Lastovich began his legal career in 1983 with one of the state’s largest and most prestigious law firms (in Minneapolis). In 1992, after practicing with a personal injury law firm in St. Cloud for a number of years, Mr. Lastovich and his family moved to Brainerd, where he established Steven D. Lastovich, Ltd. — a law firm dedicated to pursuing the rights of victims injured in personal injury accidents. In 1995, Mr. Lastovich purchased land in Baxter and completed the Lastovich Law Office building, which is located across State Highway 371 from Walmart. The firm has become one of the most prominent personal injury law office in the area, with a reputation for aggressively pursuing his clients' personal injury cases, including many very serious wrongful death cases, injuries to children, and traumatic brain injury cases. Many former clients say he is a “bulldog”.
